They need traction, but have none.
No matter how hard they work they will not get up that hill. They just sit there spinning their tires and wonder why they aren't getting anywhere.
Let's try an example.
Which of these things do you want but are having a hard time with?

-Lose weight
-Improve your love life
-Feel great about yourself
-Or achieve that one thing you've always wanted but never thought you could do
Got it?
OK.
Now what is the fastest & easiest way to get it?
Hmmmm...
Maybe this. Maybe that.
If you haven't done it yet, the chances are that you are talking theory. You've tried this before and you haven't yet got the traction you need to successfully pull it off. It's been back and forth. You get motivated. You go for it. Get a little sweaty. Then bloody. Come home and lick your wounds. Think about it a while. Heal up. Take a deep breath...get motivated... and so on and so on...

"What is traction and how do I get some?"
The way to see if you have any traction is to try some small hills. These aren't the "knock it out of the park" kind of goals, these are the small yet meaningful goals that you have been having a
problem with and you've tried unsuccessfully to solve the problem before - several times. The requirement for this first test is that you have no idea how to get from "Point A" to "Point B". You know several ways NOT to get there but you still don't know EXACTLY HOW TO GET THERE. You've got theories and it's something you want and desire but haven't been able to do yet.

Traction magnetizes you to your goals and your goals to you.
It is pushing and pulling perfectly, in unison.
When you have traction, acheiving goals is the easiest thing in the world to do. If you don't have it, you might as well have a seat and relax. There is no way it is going to happen! The thing NOT to do is try harder. Trust me!
Once you have traction, you are:
-lucky at everything you want to be and lucky at everything that you try
-100% unshakable when presented with the opportunity to accomplish your goals
-surrounded by the resources you need, when you need them
It's like Christmas, Your Birthday and New Year's Eve all rolled into one.
Once you have traction and have proven it, you move on to bigger hills and then Bigger Hills then BIGGER HILLS!
You can't lose if you tried. Naturally, if you can't lose, you decide to go for the biggest hill around. Then you are only amused by climbing the biggest hill anywhere. Once you have traction, you
just "point" and you will be dragged up the hill. It's pretty amazing.
Traction makes you achieve everything you want in life.
